If you ever needed a jailbreak tweak for your iPad to enhance your mailbox access, there is nothing better you could wish for than SplitMail. As such, SplitMail gives you the added privilege to access your mailbox list in portrait mode. SplitMail should be your latest solution to absolve yourself from the limitations rendered by iOS in access your mailbox in portrait mode. Moreover, it is not every time you would want to use landscape mode for accessing your mailbox. SplitMail, as the name suggests, is indeed a great fix for all your mailbox endeavors.
Generally, you could be restricted by stock iOS in portrait mode, which hides the mail until you have either shifted to a landscape mode or tapped the ‘All Inboxes’ button. However, doing this every time could be very irritating especially when you often find your mailbox list disappearing. To absolve yourself from the tedious effort of sorting out messages in portrait mode, SplitMail should be your answer to resolve your mailbox problems on an iPad.
With SplitMail for iPad, there is nothing left for you to configure, and that in my opinion is the best attribute of this jailbreak tweak! All you have to do is install, and restart your Springboard as prompted. Now you can pop into your Mail app to notice that your mailbox remains static on the left of the screen, even as you browse through your messages and tap outside it. I do not see any cons of this jailbreak tweak, however it surprises me when some of the techies find the less screen real estate as a major con! With the easy mailbox browsing this tweak renders its users, I certainly do not find the lesser screen real estate as a problem. If you need more room, just rotate your iPad in the landscape mode. SplitMail is surely worth a look, and is one of the better jailbreak tweaks I have come across.
